Become a 'Braai Master'

The South African braai is more than a meal, it’s a culture, a way of life, an institution. We South African’s love good food and braai options include juicy, organic lamb chops, tasty boerewors (a type of local sausage – learn how to make it with us), tender steak, delicious chicken, and even fresh fish. And it’s not just meat on the fire, veggies get grilled too! Chargrilled corn on the cob, traditional chakalaka (a spicy tomato relish) made in a tin pot, and even baked potatoes wrapped in foil are thrown directly on the hot coals. Beloved by all South Africans, we cherish any opportunity to share this experience with guests to our country. This is no different at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve where our guests are treated to this age-old tradition in exceptional fashion under the tutelage of our ‘local is lekker’ chefs. Spend time with them beside the fire, learn some of their favourite braai recipes and even take the recipes home with you to share with your family and friends.    Read More
