Activities
A private safari vehicle with a ranger and tracker allows each day at Fort House to unfold entirely at your own pace. Explore the reserve on game drives, guided bush walks accompanied by an armed ranger, and fishing excursions, with the flexibility to tailor every outing to your interests. Back at the house, relax on the terrace and watch wildlife wander through the valley below, enjoy a swim in the pool, or gather around the boma for dinner beneath the stars, all framed by Fort House’s spectacular setting.

The nearest major airport is Port Elizabeth (PLZ), 160 km (100 miles) from the reserve. Daily flights are available from Cape Town (CPT) and Johannesburg (JNB) international airports. From Port Elizabeth, it’s a 2-hour drive or a scenic helicopter flight (inquire for costs) to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Alternatively, for a truly exclusive arrival, land directly on the reserve’s private Category 3 airstrip. Inquire for details on charter flights and GPS coordinates.
