This exclusive-use private villa has been elegantly designed to complement the rugged landscape of Kwandwe. From the veranda, enjoy views of a productive waterhole and the sweeping Great Fish River valley beyond. Expansive flatlands offer the ultimate game viewing experience, straight from the boma & firepit, as wildlife wanders by, unperturbed.

Featuring two master suites and two classic rooms (all en-suite), as well as free flowing living and entertainment areas, a wine cellar, spa treatment room, and a refreshing pool make Fort House the perfect escape. Peruse the wine cellar, help yourself to a snack from the guest pantry, spend some quiet time in the study or enjoy a massage in the spa treatment room. The dedicated team is discreetly on hand to ensure everything is taken care of.
Activities
A private safari vehicle with a ranger and tracker offers a flexible daily itinerary for all Fort House guests. Out on the reserve, activities include daily game drives, nature walks, big game walking safaris, and fishing. When not our exploring, relax on the terrace and watch the wildlife wander by, enjoy a swim in the pool, and dine under the stars around the traditional boma – all accompanied by the mesmerising view.

The nearest major airport is Port Elizabeth (PLZ), 160 km (100 miles) from the reserve. Daily flights are available from Cape Town (CPT) and Johannesburg (JNB) international airports. From Port Elizabeth, it’s a 2-hour drive or a scenic helicopter flight (inquire for costs) to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Alternatively, for a truly exclusive arrival, land directly on the reserve’s private Category 3 airstrip. Inquire for details on charter flights and GPS coordinates.
